Hi! I’m Yvie, the founder-farmer-florist at Revery Flowers, Farm and Studio. My passion for nature was born long before my business ever had a name. As far back as I can remember I have always been noticing the small details, colors, and textures of what’s around me. For much of my childhood, my neighbors frequently found me at their front door with a handful of freshly picked weeds.

On my 12th birthday, my parents gifted me a book teaching the basics of floral design. A new world was opened to me. I read the whole book in a day and immediately began practicing. Out of a need for more material to design with, I decided to try growing flowers too. In the fall of 2022 a truck dumped a load of compost in my family’s field and that was the beginning of Revery Flowers.

Our story

revery

(n) a pleasant daydream or deep thought

With a small patch of land on Vashon Island, we grow over 40 flower types in a range of colors, shapes, sizes, and textures. The farm is constantly evolving with the seasons, providing depth of interest and a wide range of materials to design with all year long. The goal of the farm is to grow sustainably and celebrate seasonality.

Inspiration for each design comes from the nature that surrounds the studio. Rather than bending the flowers to our design ideas, we let the natural bend of the flowers shape the design.
